Be a Roman in Rome.......

Be a Roman in Rome. Else you'll end up in humiliation like this one.Hope these people understand that too much of Ethics can help them gain access to the boardroom, only as a Guest but not as potential Businessmen.
What next? Hope they perform yet another Magic.....!

The Key to be complete in life is to stay incomplete

No! You got it right...!
There's nothing wrong with your sight or your thinking.

"The Key to be complete in life is to stay incomplete"

In the outset it may sound highly ridiculous. Trust me..! When this thought struck my mind i thought so too.But Coupling it up with certain observations i found out innumerable reasons to justify my statement.

Don't narrow down your views with the statement inline. Expand your thoughts and you'll find it applicable to all aspects of life.

Staying complete will by itself make you incomplete. A sense of completeness often makes you lift your collars and make you look at the people around you with a sense of pride and make yourself happy by thinking that they're incomplete and you're way ahead. Everytime i feel so,something comes up and strikes me hard and helps me wake up and face reality. It always teaches me the same lesson from time to time.

"Winning is not a very difficult aspect of life but your ability to make winning a habit matters the most."

That's one of the famous proverb.Practically speaking, its all crap.
To put it simply
"எட்டுசுரக்காய் கறிக்கு உதவாது"

Winning is a very bad habit that you'll get addicted to it that makes you feel worthless once you face a loss. Make losing once a while a habit and trust me... "You won't regret".

Be prepared for forceful incompletion. Don't think that you're too good to lose anything. Being too good has its own implications. Don't be too good that people keep you high in position,a possession that is valued too much for everyday usage.
While that happens, the good ones think that you're too good for them and thereby you'll land yourself amidst the unworthy ones.
When are those who are really worth realise this and come out of the folly that they stop avoiding certain things in life thinking that its too good for them to own...!
None of us is an exception. It starts from the Basics...
The middle class who feel underprivileged for certain things thinking that its too good for them.
People in stock market thinking that this stock is too high in value that its not for us or rather it wouldn yield you much.
The list goes on...

Not A Surprise....

I have been amused by the Indian media. They cover(in all senses) and uncover pretty lot of important issues. While uncovering a very important issue which is the need of the hour with atleast ten minute updates with follow ups and debates to analyse the most important head ache of the country, this issue is rightly judged as a not so important news that it hardly manages to find a place in their websites. While there is very little to blame the media for giving the former very much importance than the latter as its been the practise for ages for,the only place where you can find "Education" having a priority over "Entertainment" in India is the English Dictionary and for these media barons "Paisa" finds more priority than the "People" for its why they're here,to reap in profits and that's what is termed Business.

As the tamil proverb goes,
"கற்றது கை மண் அளவு கல்லாதது உலகளவு"
The above is yet another case, many have passed and many are yet to come...

Life Comes a Full Circle?

The ongoing events make me nostalgic and often makes me wonder whether life often comes to a full circle from time to time. I couldn help but laugh at myself ,thinking about the popular punch dialogue in movies seemingly so identical to the state in which i am.

It goes like this,
"வாழ்க்கை ஒரு வட்டம்,
இன்னிக்கு மேலே இருப்பவன் நாளை கீழ இருப்பான்,
இன்னிக்கு கீழ இருப்பவன் நாளை மேலே இருப்பான்"

Memories of the past start to surface up and it often makes me think similar in lines to the theology that everything in this world follows a definite pattern. Whether to blame/complement myself having plenty of time but using it for this may/maybenot worthwhile self-analysis.

I find it very difficult to decipher the pattern of my life,if at all it existed. While, when i feel i have deciphered it a bit, another new one emerges out making my discoveries inconclusive. But the end result so far has been that, though at a point of time i believe the events do not follow the pattern,i've always been wrong and later realise that everything fits in place according to the pattern.

This applies for everything right from my childhood. Having hated mathematics until VII'th,later love it like hell only to be neutralised in my college days. Though i opened my account with an excellent score only to find it difficult to get through in the exams to follow,Thanks to "You Know Who".I neither hate nor am as mad as i was, but i still love numbers.

The same pattern applied to my career. I hated Computer Science to the core but later i found myself to love it to the extent to which i hated it. Falling in line with my pattern of life, now i find it being neutralised, though it doesn mean i hate it or rather love it but one thing is for sure, I am not as insane as i was earlier. It would have done justice if you had called me a Computer Maniac previously but not now, though i still love it as its become a part of my life .

Now that I have been at home for more than 5 months,a big break between the important transition in life. This is similar to the 5 month break i had when there was a transition from school to college.

While I was busy correlating it to myself,i realised pretty late that it applies to everything in this world.
1.The Indian stock market which was ignored few years back,to be celebrated for the past few years and now going through hard times only to recover soon.
2.The great Indian story which was neglected a few years back stating that it wasn possible even in wildest dreams to the present condition that "The Indian Growth Story is Invincible"
3.The Great Indian IT industry which was thought to be invincible only to fall to a rising Rupee as Goliath fell to David. But soon to recoup its lost glory......

This happens to me in all cases. Life coming to a full circle pretty often. But I'm Happy that so far it has been concentric in nature.
Each time it comes to a full cicle and the next one inscribed encloses whatever i have had so far and bringing in more with it but excluding nothing which i had so far. Bringing in more happiness, strengthening the existing one and everything moves around a common point.

Hope,This one also turns our to be a concentric one..!

Now,Thanks for those who have read this post.... Please answer to my question...

Guys, Is this enough to get a M.Phil or a Doctorate for me? Expecting your feedback.....

The above was a close up shot taken from a newspaper Ad for Hutch. Below is a Long shot for the same. While the snap below was taken inside the room the one above had to be taken right below the sun so that the close up shot came out with optimal effects.

Yet Another farcicial attempt, only to humiliate the Tax Payers.....!

The war on middle-class seems to be never-ending, but getting intense as day progresses. Naturally, the winner is none other than those vote-bank politicians. The Govt. seems to be mulling over a proposal to hike prices of LPG for PAN card holders. While those who don't pay tax seem to reap in the benefits, the tax payers are penalised just for paying their taxes properly.
While tax payers are asked to cough up more for essential commodities like cooking gas, those who don't pay any tax get the most essential commodities like colour TV free of cost.

Isn't this humiliation more than enough for a tax payer?

While the high earners are smart enough to evade tax by making use of every possible way,ranging from illegal money laundering to the legal ways to evade tax such as investment in mutual funds,shares,bonds etc;The middle class is caught in a soup only because of its widespread ignorance towards those acts of deceit.While the tax payers make or break an economy;
Is this the treatment they deserve?
Is this the reward for contributing to the wellness of a society?
Is this the reward for lending support to build this country?

While I am not against the concept of building the nation from the grassroots level which involves empowering the poor, but rather why penalise innocent tax payers especially from the middle-class! Will these freebies empower the poor?
I don't find any link between empowering the poor and providing colour TV's for the poor.Rather We can arrive at a conclusion that the government has short term interests, only to garner more votes. And it is rather disturbing to know that poor people are considered as yet another vote, but not as a valuable human resource....

Turning The Wheels of History......!

"It takes a hundred years to turn the wheels of history", this phrase is true in the case of TATA steel. Starting this venture was not an easy job. Jamsetji Tata needed to run from pillar to post inorder to start the plant as a first step to bring in the industrial revolution into the country.India had already missed the bus with the global economies scaling up their production and their exponential development was only due to industrial revolution in which iron and steel played a pivot role.

But,easier said than done..! That too under the clutches of imperialism.Along the way he had to suffer the scorn of people such as Sir Frederick Upcott, the chief commissioner of the Great Indian Peninsular Railway, who promised to "eat every pound of steel rail [the Tatas] succeed in making". There is no record of where Sir Frederick was when the first ingot of steel rolled out off the plant's production line in 1912. Jamsetji Tata had been dead eight years by then, but his spirit it was, as much as the efforts of his son Dorab and cousin RD Tata, that made real the seemingly impossible.

Hundred years after that, the wheels of history have turned yet again in favor of them with the successful integration of CORUS-The world's 6th largest steelmaker with TATA steel, which was in the 54th position. Rather it can be termed as history repeating itself. With Jamsetji tata achieveing the nearly impossible task of starting a steel company while we were still in the clutches of the british and this time even,it was Ratan Tata who achieved something in the similar scale but in a different perspective. It wasnt an easy task to bid for CORUS with an opponent as aggressive as Benjamin Steinbruch. While it was considered nearly impossible for the TATA's to pip CSN with a majority of global factors against them,it emerged as a darkhorse by pipping CSN only to face investors in the home turf terming it suicidal on their part to bid for CORUS which only helped the TATAs by making its shares plunge into an all time low.

Now, one year after the bid was placed,Tata's have emerged successful in the initial process of integration and declared a whopping 6388Cr consolidated profit and the same investors responsible for its all time low saw its stock rally Rs.60 in a matter of three hours,Yet again proving that
"Its a fickle world out there"....

Striking The Right Chord

Of late,I've been captivated by the concepts behind the commercials on air. Moreover to tell you the truth,I sit in front of the Idiot box just to watch these new commercials cropping up each day ,getting even better and better as each day progresses with their creative thinking. I may sound crazy but i find these commercials more worthwhile to watch, compared to that of the run of the mill programs.

When we analyse in depth, we can understand that the evolution of these had'n been easy and it took over a period of time to evolve.Looking back,a few years down the lane,we could see only the Shahenshah's and czars of a few fields like Bollywood,Cricket in those big budget ads with the Advertisement Agencies and companies running behind them and paying them like hell. but it Did work for a few years. But looking at it now we can find, its not the case today. The most effective and successful commercials don't depend on them anymore. The Industry has proved that it is no more under their mercy.

Lets analyse quite a few of the most Successful Ad's and the only common aspect between them is that, Yeah, you Guessed them right... It does not have Starpower embossed over them.

There were days when Air-tel was running behind Sachin. It was quite helpful for positioning their brand in the competitive environment. But what inspires me About Sunil Bharthi Mittal's Conglomerate is its ability to understand and predict the future. There was a buzz in the media when Air-tel failed to renew his contract. Many even gimmicked that Bharthi had made a wrong decision, while Reliance grasped this opportunity to bring him under their Arm with a misconception that it would create a command over the others in the telecom domain. But it played the Spoilsport.
Look at this Ad.You'll understand that it struck the right Chord.

Banking commercials would normally associate themselves with bringing to light the Services like internet Banking,Loans etc etc. There has always been a misconception that banking needs to be associated only with money, profits etc. But they have terribly failed to realise the emotional bond which needs to be created among its customers. I still remember my Grandfather insisting upon his family members to trust their money with the bank he has been associated for decades. Though that particular Bank had been a learner from others in these cutting edge technologies and other facilities. So This one would be one which demonstrates it.

The ones below are some of the other ad's which are so cute and innovative but yeah, they are quite unnatural or a bit imaginary. But they hit bang on target, serving the purpose of the commercial. My words would be minimal to Describe it.....

Linda Fever......

That was the time the Linda fever was at its peak. Atleast in my household. Though I Don't believe much in astrology, she made me believe it at least to an extent. For,I loved to read word by word about her descriptions about every sun sign and i was completely astounded for, many proved quite true. I devoured the entire thing in a matter of days. That book was the topic of conversation for us guys in college for nearly 2 months. would you believe.....!
